REGISTRATION
Registration is the formal written procedure that represents both an
academic and financial commitment. To be officially enrolled at the
law school, students must complete the financial part of
registration before each term's classes begin.
Attending
class does not in itself constitute official registration. All prior
balances must be cleared before students are permitted to register for
a current term. The financial obligations that a student incurs
through registration remain unless registration is canceled by the law
school or the student officially withdraws from school during the
refund period. If a student withdraws during the refund period, he or
she is entitled to a refund based on the effective date of withdrawal
(see below).
In order to avoid illegal copyright and licensing violations, students
must pay the publishers before being allowed entry into the course.
A student that has an outstanding balance more than 30 days after
the beginning of the trimester will be denied access to the courses
and databases until the balance is brought to nil.
Refunds
A student course withdrawal will only be effective from the date
when an official SIGNED withdrawal form is received by fax in the
LL.M. Office. You have up to 8 days from the first day of the trimester
to obtain a full tuition refund. You must withdraw for each course.
Please fax all withdrawal forms copy the LL.M. program + 1 305

If you miss the refund deadlines....
If you have a problem with pursuing a course/courses/program, and
it is after day ten, you have two choices:
(1) Withdraw from the course. This will avoid
receiving a failing grade and an academic probation/expulsion from
the program. A student may withdraw up to week 14 in a trimester.
(2) Apply to the professor for an incomplete in
the course. The sole discretion is with the course professor. The
maximum incomplete time is one trimester before a failing grade
replaces the incomplete. The specific incomplete time must be decided
between the professor and student. Access to a course will require
the trimester database fees being paid.
The thesis 2 course allows a one-year period to complete a thesis
that is still due. For course and database access during this one
year period, the trimester database fees must be paid or the student
will receive a failing grade.
