12
years ago Associate Dean William Byrnes pioneered
online law degree graduate education with what has
become the largest International Tax & Financial
Services online law school program. This innovative
“real world” collaborative experience
leverages a cross-discipline approach of enrolling
non-lawyers and lawyers who interactively engage
via video-web lectures and case-study based learning-teams.
What is exciting is that our post graduate masters
and doctorate degree programs are ABA recognized
and are wholly online for the busy professional.
This
year’s enrollment of several hundred students
includes governments and regulatory officials, partners
from large multinational law and accounting firms,
bank executives, tax and compliance counsel for
large companies, as well as international financial
service staff, financial advisors, and wealth managers.
The faculty and alumni work globally in Asia, Africa,
Europe, North & South America ,India, and the
Caribbean.
Professionals
can audit courses for continuing education credit,
or earn a degree: Master in Laws (LL.M. Legum Magister),
Master of Science of Law (J.S.M. Juris Scientiae
Magister), Doctor of Juridical Science (J.S.D. Scientiae
Juridicae Doctor).
Certification
and Professional Designations articulation agreement
has been obtained with professional Certifying Boards
such as the American Academy of Financial Management,
some waiving all study and examination requirement.
Certifications in Anti-Money Laundering & Compliance,
Risk Management and in Wealth Management are obtainable
as a non-degree or degree student. The program delivers
online or residential in-house professional charters
and certifications as well as corporate training
to a variety of service providers.
