The program employs a unique
career service approach by integrating it into
both course work and skills lectures. By example,
career services lectures are integrated into
Thesis 1, including topics such as creating
a career matrix, recruiters, interviewing, packages,
and placement. Further, the program seeks to
integrate certifications with professional associations
for student’s / alumni greater career
networking
Each
new student in the program obtains an Alumnus
mentor for networking purposes, potentially
academically, professionally, and socially.

Alumni & Friends to preserve privacy
of contact information. Also, LL.M. students
join the J.D. student network.
In the Facebook, job opportunities
are posted weekly under different topic headings.
Further, a discussion topic on practical career
searching and interviewing skills helps students
help each other, under the guidance of Asst.
Dean Byrnes.
Through membership of the relevant professional
associations, the program assists students entering
and networking for career advancement. The program
seeks to establish internships with firms for
the graduates. All students receive a career
services interview with Professor Byrnes.
Career Services eAttorney: The Career Services
Office of Thomas Jefferson School of Law receives
job postings from employers on a daily basis.
These are input into an online system called
eAttorney that students can access. eAttorney,
offers many great features to assist you in
your job search. It allows you to view local
and national job postings via the web, and to
upload your resume and complete a personalized
profile of your skills and interests, which
can be accessed by prospective legal employers
and by our office to notify you about current
opportunities.
The eAttorney service is available
free of charge to students who have completed
at least one full-time semester or two part-time
semesters. Job postings on eAttorney can be
accessed only with a personal ID number and
password, which are obtained from Career Services
after your first semester.
